macOS 10.15.7 or later, Apple silicon and Intel. Drag MigPad to Applications.
Windows
Windows 10 version 1903 or later and Windows 11. The ZIP is portable: MigPad keeps its data next to it. MigPad is not signed yet: if SmartScreen warns about it, choose More info, then Run anyway.
Linux
Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 12, Fedora 36 and later, with a Vulkan driver. The AppImage runs without installing, once made executable.
MigPad never goes online, so it does not look for updates: new versions are here and on GitHub, with what changed.
What it is
- Instant It starts at once, uses little memory and keeps large files responsive.
- Careful with text Unicode and legacy encodings — Windows-1251, KOI8-R, CP866 and more — their detection, BOM, LF, CRLF and CR line endings; saving never loses a character unnoticed.
- Nothing is lost Edits are saved as you type: quitting asks nothing and brings back the windows, tabs and unsaved changes, even after a crash.
- Find and replace With regular expressions, whole words and case; go to a line and column.
- Offline No telemetry, accounts or online services.
- Everything built in No plugins to collect: tabs and windows, a command line, settings in a text file, English and Russian.
